Partnership with National Geographic - Lindblad Expeditions joined forces with National Geographic in 2004 to further inspire the world through expedition travel. The Lindblad/National Geographic alliance enables Lindblad travelers to participate in the world of natural and cultural history as engaged, active explores who care about the planet.

Research & Education - Our fleet of expedition vessels serves as a research and educational platform, which provides access to many remote and uncharted areas around the world. Innovative marine expedition programs are focused on enhancing the expedition experience for all guests by turning everyday people into global explorers.

Exploration Technology - Lindblad’s ships feature state of the art expedition technology, including undersea video cameras, remote operated vehicles (ROVs), kayaks, hydrophones, video-microscopes, and splash-cams. We believe these tools allow our guests to discover the world, above and below the sea, in vivid details.

Community Development - Lindblad Expeditions (LEX) has always believed in supporting the local communities to which it brings guests. One way the Lindblad has chosen to give back to the regions is through the support of local micro-enterprise initiatives, including Reflections, a local gallery in Galapagos designed to promote traditional craft production in the region and generate economic growth at the local level.

Philanthropy & Conservation - For over 50 years the Lindblad family has explored the world’s wildest places, discovering the wonder and joy of inspiring, meaningful travel. We have also spent decades working for local conservation, raising more than $6 million with our guests in the last 10 years. Lindblad Expeditions has robust travel philanthropy programs in the Galapagos, Antarctica, Baja California and Alaska.
