While some cruise lines - particularly smaller luxury lines - still produce paper cruise documents, most of the other lines are going "paperless". Whether your cruise line is issuing paper or e-documents, it is strongly encouraged that attendees pre-register on the cruise line's Web site to expedite the check-in process at the pier. They can even book their shore excursions online.
Located within the cruise line's comprehensive Web site, a "paperless" system provides guests with the same travel documentation and information typically available with traditional cruise documents. The cruise line's secure, easy-to-navigate Internet portal is accessible on a 24/7 basis. In addition, the electronic document system is in "real time", ensuring that all guest date is continually up-to-date. Electronic cruise documents are available for attendees to access and print out any time after final payment is received by the cruise line. Guests simply need to enter their booking number, last name, ship and sailing date to gain access to the site.
Once the cruise line receives the final group manifest, documents are sent out to Seasite as "agent of record" - typically three weeks prior to sailing. Once we receive the cruise documents, our quality control staff checks them for accuracy before they are mailed to you in bulk.
Here's what you will find in your cruise line document packets:
