Embarkation Day – What You Need to Know
Congratulations! You’ve worked hard to earn this cruise, and it’s almost time to set sail on the beautiful Celebrity Century. Here’s what you need to know to ensure smooth sailing on embarkation day:
Airport Arrival and Transfer to the Port of Miami
xxxCompany namexxx has arranged private transfers from Miami International Airport to the Port of Miami on embarkation day. As you make your way to the baggage claim area, look for the customized “xxxxxxxx” signs. You will be met in baggage claim area by uniformed staff who are specially trained to trouble-shoot any flight deviations or delayed luggage situations. Please identify your luggage and a skycap will pull it off the conveyer belt. You will then be escorted to air-conditioned motor coaches or vans for the short transfer to the ship. Vehicles will be dispatched according to an arrival manifest, eliminating any unnecessary waits.
Important Note: Please remove all airline tags and attach a Celebrity Century bag tag (deck specific) with your name and stateroom number clearly shown to each piece of luggage before your transfer to the Port of Miami.
Gratuities:
xxxCompanyxxx will handle all gratuities for airport baggage handlers, bus/van driver and pier stevedores.
Arrival at the Pier
Upon your arrival at the pier, double check to make sure your luggage tags are securely attached to each piece of luggage. Pier stevedores will be available to assist you with your luggage for proper loading onboard the Century.
Luggage & What to Carry On
Remember to pack a carry-on bag with your valuables, prescription medications, travel documents/passport, sunscreen and anything else you may need when you board the ship. Once your luggage is checked in at the pier, you may have to wait several hours for your bags to be delivered to your stateroom.
Embarkation
To ensure a smooth embarkation, please have your cruise tickets and proof of citizenship in your hand as you enter the cruise terminal. Upon arrival, you will be directed through the security screening area to complete the embarkation process.
Once Onboard
After boarding the ship, enjoy the bountiful buffet in the Island Cafe on the Resort deck. After lunch, please proceed to the Celebrity Theater located forward on the Promenade deck to register for the conference. You won’t want to miss our first session, which will begin promptly at 1:30 pm.
SEE YOU ONBOARD
