There is no escaping the beauty of Portofino, tucked into a protected inlet surrounded by lush cypress and olive clad slopes. You can arrange a magnificent reception or dinner event at one of the following stunning locations.

Dinner at Abbey of San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte

From Portofino you will travel to Santa Margherita Ligure – a town situated on one of the most beautiful coastal roads in all of Italy.  A private motorboat will then take you to the 12th century Abbey of San Fruttuoso di Capodimonte.  Upon seeing and entering this magnificent Abbey you will appreciate the significant architectural history.  

Originally built to shelter the remains Saint Fructuosus, the abbey has been shaped and transformed with each century leaving its own distinctive mark.

The tiny bay of the Abbey of San Fruttuoso can only be reached from the sea. You will see the beach suggestively lighted by torches marking your path to the Abbey, where the dinner will be served. A string quartet and an harpist will provide the perfect accompaniment.

Evening at Cervara Abbey

The Cervara Abbey is located in a marvellous position atop the rocky headland overlooking the Tigullio Gulf.  The Abbey was originally a Benedictine monastery in 1364.  In the 1800s, the grounds were purchased by Marquis Durazzo and many of the gardens were restored.

The Cervara, perched high above the sea and commanding a wonderful view of the entire eastern Ligurian coast, is the only surviving monumental Italian garden in Liguria. In the recent years it was purchased by a passionate entrepreneur, who invested much of his energies and finances to take the Abbey back to its original splendour.  

From Portofino, you will be driven to by minivans along a winding road up to La Cervara. The owner will welcome you and will invite you to visit the monumental Italian garden.

The aperitif served in the cloister will be followed by a private concert in the chapel, while the dinner will be arranged in the main salon.
