Western Caribbean Golf
Cozumel, Mexico
Playacar Golf Club
This par 72 championship course, designed by world renowned Robert Von Hagge, is located in a private development of Playa del Carmen. The course is carved through the lush Mayan jungles and features some of the best holes in Mexico. With no parallel fairways and plenty of beautiful bunkers and waterways, each hole uniquely stands on its own. As you play through the course you’ll pass by authentic Mayan ruins and other archaeological areas that will prove to be fascinating. After a round of golf, visit the clubhouse facility - complete with tennis courts, pool, restaurant, locker rooms and lounge bar with a wonderful view of the finishing hole.
Grand Cayman
Britannia Golf Course
18 holes par 58 3,044 yds
Jack Nicklaus designed this course as a links-type layout reminiscent of courses in Scotland, and it’s full of natural challenges and hazards with blind tee shots, pot bunkers, and 2-tiered greens. Whether you play it as a 158-yard par 3 on the executive course or as a 187-yard par 3 in regulation, the 10th hole on the former and the 5th on the latter both require a clean shot over the Caribbean. The breathtaking No.9 in regulation, an excruciatingly long 562 yards, requires 3 shots over water. (The course is 3 golf courses in one, a 9-hole course, an 18 whole "executive course" and a "Cayman Golf" course, played with a specially designed Cayman ball. 12 of the 18 holes are over water.)
Key West
Key West Golf & Country Club
Par: 72, 6,500 yards
Shoot a round on the southernmost golf course in the continental United States. Encompasses over 200 acres of beautiful Florida Keys foliage and wildlife. Was designed by Golf legend Rees Jones with stately palms, dense mangroves, serene lakes, and rolling fairways.
Has a signature hole, “The Mangrove Hole”, that plays only 143 yards over a field of thickly intertwined tropical mangroves. Can be intimidating with the swirling trade winds.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Sandals Golf Resort
18 holes
Sandals Golf Resort, nestled in the Jamaican hills, provides for challenging and fast play. The course, like the island, is very lush and tropical.
Nassau, Bahamas
Paradise Island Golf Club
18 holes Par 72 6,545 yards
Designed by Dick Wilson, this championship course has hosted such top pros as Gary Player, Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. Miles of white sand beaches form the sand traps. And the crystalline-blue ocean presents one of the most beautiful water hazards you’ll every challenge. Every hole has at least five sand traps, there are nine doglegs and water comes into play on no less than 13 holes. Two new signature holes, the sixth and seventh, are truly the most scenic in the Caribbean. With elevated greens combined with ever-changing trade winds, the course plays a bit differently every round. This is an ideal course for both the amateur and more experienced player.
Cable Beach Golf Club
18 holes Par 72 7,040 yards
Located west of Nassau, Cable Beach Golf Course is the first Arnold Palmer-managed facility in the Caribbean. Built in 1929, this par-72 course is the oldest in the Bahamas. A challenging 7,040-yard lush course layout features a variety of lakes and ponds on many of its holes. This is one of the finest courses in the Bahamas.
