MSC's Group Policies and Payments

Incentive Groups are defined as a group sponsored by a corporation to host employees and guests for business and/or pleasure trips.

Sample Group Payment Schedule

$100 per cabin deposit is required 30 days after confirmation of space.

$500 per cabin deposit (including any previous deposits) is required 270 days prior to sailing.

$1000 per cabin deposit (including any previous deposits) is required 180 days prior to sailing.

50% of the balance due (including any previous deposits) is required 120 days prior to sailing.

Final payment for all space is required 90 days prior to sailing.

Sample Group Attrition Schedule

On or before 360 days prior to sailing, up to 100% of the space blocked can be released without charge.

From 359 days to 271 days prior to sailing, up to 75% of the remaining unsold space block can be released without charge.  Cancellations in excess of 75% will be charged $50 per cabin.

From 270 days to 181 days prior to sailing, up to 50% of the remaining unsold space block can be released without charge.  Cancellations in excess of 50% will be charged $500 per cabin.

From 180 days to 91 days prior to sailing, up to 25% of the remaining unsold space block can be released without charge.  Cancellations in excess of 25% will be charged $1000 per cabin.

From 90 days to 76 days prior to sailing, up to 10% of the remaining unsold space block can be released without charge.  Cancellations in excess of 10% will be charged 100% of the total fares.

From 75 days to 31 days prior to sailing, up to one (1) cabin of the remaining unsold space block can be released without charge.  Cancellations in excess of one (1) cabin will be charged 100% of the total fares.

Within 31 days of sailing, any cancellations will be charged 100% of total fares.

Single Occupancy

Single occupancy of a specific staterooms for all category trypes (excluding suites) is 180% of the total fare (based on double occupancy) which includes port charges. 

Single occupancy in suites and/or Yacht Club is 200% of the total fare (based on double occupancy) which includes port charges.

Triple / Quad Occupancy

Triple and quad occupancy rates may be quoted upon request and may vary within the categories.

Sample Full Charter Security and Payment Schedule

Full ship charter pricing will vary based on ship, itinerary, length, sail date and various other factors. To discuss specific terms and conditions please contact your Cruise Advisor.

A sample payment schedule follows:

20% of charter hire due upon execution  
80% balance via Letter of Credit or Bank Guarantee also due upon execution
Final balance due 60 days prior to departure date
